London Nightlife

London is a great place for pubs, bars and clubs and it is possible to find something to suit all types, whether you fancy a pint and some British pub grub or dancing until five in the morning.

For many tourists, the West End is seen as the best destination for a night out in London. This area is packed with tourists on Saturday and Friday nights. G.A.Y. at the Astoria on Charing Cross road is regarded as one of London's top night clubs, with cheesy dance music and live sets from some of the biggest names in pop.

Islington in North London has one of the largest collection of bars and restaurants outside of the West End and with fewer tourists and more realistic pricing. The area between Angel and Highbury and Islington tube stations has around 100 bars, restaurants and pubs, more than enough to cater for all needs.

In East London check out the bars and clubs around Shoreditch and Brick Lane. This area has established itself as the place of choice for trendy Londoners, with lots of of clubs offering something for all music tastes. 333 on Old Street is the place where it all started and made the area a trendy hangout.

Dunes is a nightclub in Kensington that brings in a large and loud crowd, but if you just want to relax and have a quiet drink then try So Bar Sofa in Fulham with friendly bar staff, great food and a laid back atmosphere So Bar Sofa, as you would imagine is full of comfy sofas, and if you are with the family and are looking for a beer garden The Goldsmiths Arms in Acton has the largest enclosed beer garden in West London.
